The open road is my metaphor for the unencumbered quest to explore the visual world and capture it in two dimensions. For me, it’s a state of being where nothing lies ahead but the curiosity of what may lay beyond the next bend. No obstacles. No one chasing. Nothing behind but the traveled path.
